UTEC’s mission is to create a fair and reasonable business and regulatory climate in the state to ensure safe and reliable services may be provided to all West Virginians.  

Our vision is be a leader in the West Virginia business community and serve as the public voice for issues concerning public utilities – electric generation and distribution, natural gas transmission, telecommunications, water and waste management. We prize the common good, and no member uses UTEC at the disadvantage of another.
